REAL NAME: Stanley Stadowski
ORIGIN: While serving as basic grunt in the Vietnam war, Stanley Stadowski found himself and his platoon pinned down and being picked off. Suffering multiple gunshot wounds, with nowhere to go, as a last-ditch effort, Stanley crawled toward some tall grasses while searching for cover when the grass itself came to life, swallowed him whole, and transformed his body into a living, breathing mass of grass.
